A country music radio show from the UK and presented by CMA member Ben Atkinson. Our show has been on the air for thirteen years and is broadcast on stations in the UK, Ireland and Australia. We feature the best in country, roots, Americana and bluegrass, plus there's News from Nashvill, This Week in Country Music History and the Billboard charts.
Listen again to any shows that you’ve missed, it’s very easy to do! Right here on our website you can browse through our archive of shows going back several years, and we’re adding more all the time.
Each week on a Friday, the show from that week is uploaded here on the website so you’ve got the whole weekend to listen using our very own radio player. Just click the link under each show image to open the player. The show you’ve chosen will start playing automatically. Below each show on the player, you will find a playlist of songs featured on that episode to give you a flavour of what you can expect to hear.
Previous editions of Ben’s Country Music Show starting from January 2018 are available right here on the website, from our special documentary covering the 50th Anniversary of Johnny Cash’s icon Folsom Prison concert, to tributes we’ve paid to John Prine, Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard and other legendary artists we’ve lost over the years.
Listen again to features on the show – Each show features the Billboard Country Airplay and Billboard Country Albums charts as listed here on the website, so you can be the first to find out who’s number one on both charts. Plus, there’s the This Week in Country Music History feature and Shannon McCombs has your CDX Country News on the hour in each show. Ben regularly features interviews and conversation with artists and songwriters, plus the latest releases as his Record of the Week.
Listen again to our 10th anniversary celebrations – As a special note, in the summer of 2018 we broadcast a series of special shows to mark the 10th anniversary of Ben’s Country Music Show. You can hear all of these programmes right here on the website, including a reunion with former country presenter Neil Castledine, previous musical guest Steve Jackson and fellow presenter Pete James. In the final special, Leicester based musician John Montague interviews Ben about his ten years in broadcasting. You can find all of these shows and more, listed below.
