This week on Ben's Country Music Show, we mark the programme's 18th year on air with a mix of major UK chart history and Nashville updates. We reflect on 25 years since September 11 with Alan Jackson's powerful new live recording of "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning." Elsewhere, history is made on the UK official charts as Ella Langley's "Choosing Texas" climbs to number one on the all-genre singles chart—making her the first female country singer to top the official UK chart since Tammy Wynette back in May 1975. Our Album of the Week is Carly Pearce's deeply personal fifth studio album, Honest Woman, which tackles themes of religious trauma and divorce alongside fantastic bluegrass collaborations with Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle. Plus, we share the latest Nashville industry news, including Brooks & Dunn being named recipients of the 2026 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, and look at the recent CMA nominations, where Ella Langley leads the pack.
